At Co-Learn Club, Inc. (“Colearn”), we understand that privacy is important to our online visitors and the users of our online app. This Privacy Policy describes the collection and use of data from website visitors and users (“Users”) of Colearn.com.

What types of information do we collect and why do we collect it?

Information you provide to us:

For Users of app.colearn.com, during the Registration process, you may be asked to provide the following information: your name and your email. As part of app.colearn.com, Users of app.colearn.com may provide a variety of information regarding the name and age of their child(ren) and the educational resources they use or are interested in using. Users may also provide information on how they spend time on learning related activities via a weekly schedule that includes an individual launch page for each child with log-in instructions and password hints.

How we use your information:

Colearn uses the aggregate and anonymized data (“Aggregated Anonymous Data”) from Registration, My Resources, and the Learner Launch Pages for the following purposes:

  • Inclusion in the potential reports recommending similar products or activities;
  • Inclusion in reports to support organizations (ex. the school district, a technical assistance organization, consultants, etc.) approved by the participating school’s registered leader;
  • Inclusion in published materials on Colearn.com and associated research reports
  • Inclusion in open data sets available for approved 3rd party research
What data we gather:

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.” We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
  • “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
  • “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

  • Google Cloud Platform, Mixpanel, Mode Analytics Inc., Rollbar Inc., Segment Inc., Pusher Ltd., New Relic Inc. and Answerbook Inc.’s LogDNA. To opt out of the collection, you must contact Hello@colearn.com. Colearn may use, modify and store Aggregated Anonymous Data.
We may leverage Google Analytics, or other 3rd party tracking solutions to gather and analyze data related to how visitors find and access our site. This information is used only to manage and improve our site. You can choose not to provide certain information, but this may impair your ability to use the Colearn website.

Prior to any transfer of information by Colearn to a third party, Colearn will contract with the third party so that data may only be processed for the limited and specified purposes described in this Policy. We may also transfer personal information in the course of mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcies, dissolutions, reorganizations, liquidations, similar transactions or proceedings involving all or a portion of our business.

Security:

Colearn uses reasonable and appropriate measures to protect it from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Third parties with whom Colearn provides information shall provide the same level of protection.

Data Integrity and Access:

Personal information collected shall be limited to the information that is relevant for the purposes of processing.

Changes:
